Success at the Museum

The Holiday Miniature Show was quite the success. There were plenty of great artists and ideas for Christmas gifts.

I was in a room surrounded by sculptures. This awesome piece was right in front of my table...I couldn't believe how closely it resembled real wood...when it was made out of bronze!!!

More Miniatures!

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!

The Triton's Miniature Show is back and this time, ready for the holidays.
November 6th and 7th from 10-5 both days
At the Triton Museum in Santa Clara

I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to prepare for this show, as I have been engulfed in psychology studies. But there are some new pieces that I will be showing.

Here is a taste of some new pieces, but I am so disorganized that I haven't even named these yet! So...to be continued within the next 2 weeks!

Red Books Burning

Acrylic with some newspaper on Canvas 16" x 20"
This piece reminds me of the controversies over books and the burnings that have gone on to detroy them.....it also reminds me of the Holocaust for some reason......probably because of the fire and the fact that the newspaper clippings are from a German newspaper.

More Miniatures

Just a few more pieces from the Miniature Art Show....teensy itty bitty paintings!
"Having an Off Day" Acrylic on Canvas 2" x 2"

"Evening in the Jungle" Acrylic on Canvas 2" x 2"

"Seasons"- Set of 4 mini canvases to be alternated on a mini easel as the season changes

"Stained Butterfly" Acrylic & Newspaper on Canvas 3" x 3"

"Aurora Galaxy II" Acrylic on Masonite 5" x 7"

Not Your Ordinary Sunset

Acrylic and Gel Medium on Masonite 5" x 7"
I love sunsets and find them to be extremely beautiful and serene. However, I felt like spicing this one up a bit with the random texture and motion from the clear tar gel......makes it "not so ordinary".

Namaste

Acrylic, Newspaper and wood flourish on Canvas 8" x8"

(Side View)

I am infatuated with the lotus flower. They are just so beautiful and inviting.

Moonlit Waters

Acrylic & Newspaper on Canvas 8" x 8" (Prints also available)

(Side View)

Blue is my favorite color....all shades and colors of blue. This layout just screamed so mysterious and magical to me, like the horizon at the end of the earth.....almost like science fiction.

Roots Run Deep

Acrylic & Newspaper on Canvas 8"x8"

(Side view)

Again, another piece regarding nature and the destruction by man......but the hope that remains.

Nighttime Reading

Acrylic & Newspaper on Cradled Masonite 4" x 4" -SOLD
(Side view detailing the wrap-around of newspaper)

The moon always seems to capture my attention, especially when it is large and glowing.

Underwater Rain

Acrylic on Cavas Panel 8"x10"
This piece originally began as an abstract of just colors. But as it progressed it reminded me of a city underwater....almost like the kingdom out of The Little Mermaid.

Amour

Acrylic, newspaper & wood flourish on 5"x 5" canvas

(Detail View)

Just seems like a cute small piece of art to hang in a small spot, or put on a window sill to remind us that love is international!

Fun weekend at the Museum

Successful and fun weekend at the Triton's Miniatures Spring Art Fair. Sold a few pieces and met some other great new artists. It was quite the eclectic collection of paintings, jewelry, pottery and other artwork!

I came back with a lot of paintings that I hope to start selling online through 1000markets.com. One of the other artists told me about this website which is very professional and easy to use. I hope to have my "market" up and running by the end of the month.

However, in the meantime, there are a few of my paintings still at the Triton in the Musuem's gift store! So if you didn't make it to the show, stop on by and check out a few of my paintings and prints for sale!

Miniatures Show

I haven't updated this in quite a while, because I've been so busy painting for my upcoming show!

Everything is 8x10 and smaller. It has been so fun painting all of these tiny landscapes and abstracts!

Here are examples of some of the pieces that I will be showing:

If you are free, come by on Saturday and Sunday (13th and 14th) to check out some of my work, along with alot of other cool artists. It will be at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara from 10-5pm both days. For more info, so to tritonmuseum.org
